# Host

> Manage the Traycer host used by this Desktop app.

Host settings show the state of the selected Traycer host and the controls used to manage it.

## Status And Versions

| Area                   | What it shows                                           |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Status**             | Whether the host is running, stopped, or not installed. |
| **Installed version**  | The host version currently installed.                   |
| **Available versions** | Versions available for install or upgrade.              |
| **Install path**       | Where the host is installed.                            |

## Actions

| Action        | What it does                                                   |
| ------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Install**   | Installs the host when it is missing.                          |
| **Restart**   | Restarts the host.                                             |
| **Update**    | Upgrades the host when an update is available.                 |
| **Check now** | Checks for available host updates.                             |
| **Doctor**    | Runs host diagnostics and shows repair actions when available. |
