The Sharing panel shows who has access to the Task and lets you invite people, change roles, and share the Task with a team. The top of the panel reads “Updated” with the time the list was last loaded. Click Refresh to load it again.

Roles

Everyone with access to a Task has one of three roles:
  • Owner: the person who created the Task. The Owner role can’t be given to someone else from the panel.
  • Editor: can change the Task’s artifacts and invite people.
  • Viewer: can read and comment, but can’t change artifacts.
For the files on disk, see Artifacts on Disk.

Invite People

Owners and Editors see an invite box at the top of the panel.
1

Add people

Type an email address or GitHub handle into “Enter email or GitHub handle” and click Add, or press Enter. Repeat to queue several people.
2

Choose a role

Pick Editor (the default) or Viewer. The role applies to everyone in the queue.
3

Send

Click Invite 1 person, or Invite N people for several.
People invited by GitHub handle may not get an email about it.

People With Access

People with access lists everyone who has direct access to the Task, with each person’s role. Owners can:
  • Change a person between Editor and Viewer with the role menu on their row.
  • Remove a person with the remove button on their row. Removing someone ends their access right away and closes any sessions they have open on the Task.
A Task always keeps an Owner: the last Owner’s role can’t be changed, and they can’t be removed. Editors and Viewers see the list and each person’s role, but can’t change them.

Teams

The Teams section lists the teams the Task is shared with, and, for the Owner, the teams it could be shared with. Only the Owner can share with a team.
  1. Find the team under Teams.
  2. Pick Editor or Viewer for the team.
  3. Click Share.
Everyone on the team gets that role. The Owner can later change the team’s role, or remove the team, which ends access for everyone who had it through the team. The team must be on the Sync plan. See Share Tasks With a Team.

Share My Agents

Share my agents controls whether collaborators can see the agent chats you run in this Task. Collaborators can view and clone a shared chat, but they can never act in it.
  • Turning it on asks “Share your agents with this task?” and shares your existing and future agent chats in the Task.
  • Turning it off asks “Make your agents private?” and makes all of your agents in the Task private, including future ones.
To override it for one agent, open that agent’s row menu in the Agents panel and choose Share with task or Make private. Terminal agents are never shared.

Requirements

  • Sign in. Sharing works on your Traycer account. If your sign-in can’t be confirmed, the panel says access can’t be checked until you sign in again.
  • The Task must be in the cloud. Collaborators open the cloud copy of the Task. Cloud sync is included for every signed-in account, and new Tasks upload automatically. If you invite someone before the upload finishes, Traycer waits briefly; if it still hasn’t finished, try again once the Task has synced. See Sync and offline.
  • Plans. Inviting individual people works on any plan. Sharing with a team needs the team to be on the Sync plan.
There is no link sharing. People get access only by invitation or through a team.

What Collaborators See

  • The Task’s artifacts, with their comment threads.
  • The agent chats that the Task’s members share. See Share My Agents.
